How the Site Works

The Three Kitties website is made up of 4 components:

  • The website itself
  • The Blog
  • The Web Cam/Chat
  • and the Forum

The website requires no registration.  The blog requires no registration but you can register if you want.  The Login is mainly for my benefit to make additions and changes to the blog.

The Ustream Cam/Chat requires no registration to view or chat although you can register for a standard user name for the chat.

The Forum REQUIRES registration to have posting privledges.  You can read the Forum without registering or logging in.

The components do not share login information.  Therefore, if you decide to register for the Blog (remember, you don't need to!), you will NOT be automatically logged in to the Forum.

Once upon a time, there was a cat named Daphne.  Daphne escaped her home for two days and came back pregnant.  Daphne's people, Josh and Ashleigh, decided to broadcast the birth of the kittens via webcam on UStream.  This was good.  First came a orange and white kitten monikered "Shanghai" for a viewer in Shanghai, China.  Next came "Seven", a lovely calico named for Channel 7, WSPA TV who covered the story.  But wait!   There's one more!  It's in there... But something is wrong!

Two days pass and finally little "Tweet" (think Twitter) is born via C-Section.  The webcam continued at home and the viewers chipped in and fully paid for the surgery!  What a great group of people!  Tweet seems to have no repercussions from her two day ordeal, nor does Daphne.

For eight weeks, the webcam continues to show the growth of these beautiful kittens.  The viewers, who have chatted during their viewing, have grown close.  Then comes me...

I'm Cricket, and I am the new forever person to these wonderful kitties.  Because of the "fan club", I have agreed to continue the web presence showing the life progression of Shanghai, Seven and Tweet.  While I don't have a 24-hour webcam (sorry!), I will broadcast playtimes here and there - usually on the weekend.  I will definitely document the growth of the kitties through lots of pictures and a daily blog.  I have also provided a forum and a chat room for those interested in discussing the three little web stars.

So welcome to The Three Kitties.  I hope you enjoy your stay!

Shanghai Jack, Skipper Seven and Addison Tweet were spayed/neutered on June 11th, 2009.

We believe in responsible pet ownership. Every year, millions of unwanted dogs and cats, including puppies and kittens, are needlessly euthanized. The good news is that every pet owner can make a difference. By having your dog or cat surgically sterilized, you will do your part to prevent the birth of unwanted puppies and kittens and enhance your pet's health and quality of life.

We ask all to help control the pet population by having your pets spayed or neutered.
